Dr. Blake Bean is proud to lead Bean Orthodontics, bringing a passion for exceptional patient care and a modern approach to orthodontics. Growing up, Dr. Bean saw firsthand how a confident smile can positively impact every area of a person’s life, an experience that inspired his path into orthodontics.
A standout both academically and athletically, Dr. Bean attended the University of North Texas, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree while serving as team captain of the university’s Division I football team. The leadership, discipline, and dedication he developed through athletics continue to shape the way he cares for patients and leads his team today.
Dr. Bean went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Oklahoma, graduating with high honors and receiving the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Certificate of Achievement for academic excellence. He then completed his residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Oklahoma, where he also earned his Master of Science degree. His advanced training allows him to provide comprehensive orthodontic care for children, teens, and adults using the latest techniques and technology.
At the core of Dr. Bean’s philosophy is the belief that orthodontics is about more than straight teeth, it’s about helping patients feel confident, comfortable, and cared for throughout their smile journey. Known for his personalized approach and attention to detail, Dr. Bean is committed to creating an elevated patient experience while delivering exceptional results tailored to each individual.
Dr. Bean is a proud member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Southern Association of Orthodontists. He is honored to serve families in Richardson, Plano and the surrounding North Dallas communities and is dedicated to helping every patient smile with confidence.
On the personal side, Dr. Bean met his wife, Lindsey, at the University of North Texas, where she served as captain of the soccer team. They welcomed their son, Brady, in September 2023, and he has certainly kept them busy! Their family also includes two dogs: Zeke, a 10-year-old black Labrador trained by Dr. Bean as a bird dog, and Gracie, an 11-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
The Bean family enjoys staying active together, whether cycling, hiking, golfing, or skiing in the mountains of Colorado. They love exploring local parks and indulging in their shared passion for Tex-Mex at neighborhood restaurants. They are happy to be back in the DFW area, where they can enjoy everything the community has to offer. Together, they share a mission of making a positive impact both at the practice and in the community they call home.
